Arnica Extreme Ointment
You can use homeopathy to treat clean cuts or puncture wounds to the skin and dermis.
Homeopathic can be used very effectively for puncture wounds. These may be caused by sudden slicing of the skin through a dental procedure, surgery, a puncture wound from a nail or knife piercing the skin or an insect sting. The following remedies are most commonly used:
Arnica m. used for traumatic soreness and bruising with swelling. For open wounds, It can be taken internally but not used externally. Do not give Arnica before any surgical procedure; it will cause the person to need more anesthesia.
Ledum p. for puncture wounds from dental procedures, stepping on nails or from a knife. Used to stop bleeding even excellent for retinal haemorrhage.
Apis m. is used for insect bites and puncture wounds that red swell, sore sand burn.
Calendula applied as an ointment or lotion in the area of the wound or directly to the clean lacerated area. It will help close and heal the skin and prevent infection.
Hypericum perf. is used for puncture wounds to areas that have a high concentration of nerves like the hands, feet or head. It is specified to nerve pain.
Pulsatilla n. can be used to injury that causes extreme emotional hypersensitivity. The person needs a great deal of attention. Wants people close to nurture then, but all reactions are out of proportion to the injury.
Phosphorus is used for dental extractions when there is bright red blood exuding from the wound.
Staphysagria is used for surgery both dental and reproductive that produce excessive physical and emotional reactions of grief and denial. Pain is extreme.
For serious bleeding - Use direct pressure. Elevate area if possible or cool with cloth wrapped icy pack. Get emergency help immediately.
