What's wrong with her Iguana?
My cousin has an Iguana... while she was staying at her mother in laws house he 'accidentally' got fed canned fruit, in heavy syrup (along with an array of things such as popcorn, crackers, peanut butter, etc) well from October till January he did not have a single bowel movement, and lost use of his back legs. he has not recieved injury so thats not what happened to his legs. thinking he was impacted she started giving him warm baths daily and make shift enima's... his bowels are moving now, but his back legs still are not. Any idea what could be wrong with him?
unfortunately, she has not taken him to a vet. she has assumed his loss of bowels was an impaction that a snake handler mentioned to her. But MBD definately sounds like the problem.
What type of UVB tube lights does your cousin provide for your iguana? W/out UVB tube lights the iguana most likely does have MBD. A vet should properly diagnose if it is or isn't, so please have a herp/reptile vet that knows iguanas take a look at the iguana.
Giving Prunes does help w/ iguanas making a bowel movement, you can give prunes diced up, or in baby food, just make sure that it is just prunes in the baby food nothing extra besides water.
Since do not know how old the iguana is, nor it's living space, these also could be a reason for the problem also.

Under UVB should be a flat surface tubes should be adjusted as ig grows, best to have at lease 2 UVB tubes 38-48inches in length

Enclosure needs to be at least 1.5-2 times it's total length ... an adult you will need a space of 6-7ft tall x 8-10ft long x 4ft wide
