The Aqua Chi has been described in different ways. It's a detox foot bath and foot spa. It's an ionic foot bath. It's the Aqua Chi foot soak machine. Let's see if we can demystify what this hydrotherapy device really is. Ok, on the most basic level, the Aqua Chi is a foot bath. Most of us have had a nice hot foot bath at one time or another. Most people enjoy it and it usually leaves you feeling better than before. But this foot bath has a little more going for it than that.

The Aqua Chi comes with a small module with brass and stainless steel electrodes that is designed to be put into the foot bath. This module energizes the water with negative ions, and this energized water is absorbed into our body through our feet. It has been compared to a natural hot spring. One of the reasons why we feel so good in nature is the abundance of negative ions. So, basically it's putting more negative ions into our bodies while taking out positive ions which generally are considered "bad."

Because of the conductive ability of the human body, when putting your feet in this energized water, the whole body can absorb the negative ions. Also, our feet are where all of our nerve endings culminate which is why reflexology and foot rubs are so stimulating and beneficial. So sitting with your feet in the Aqua Chi, is helping to re-balance your body's bio-electric field.

This bio-energy is the electro-magnetic force that is stored in the body and utilized by our cells. Chinese medicine and other eastern cultures refer to this energy as "chi" which is where the Aqua Chi gets its name. What happens is when the body becomes energized with more chi, or bio-energy, then our cells become more electrically balanced. Sickness and disease create imbalance in the cells, so once the energizing foot bath fully charges our cells they can then function optimally. This means that wastes and toxins will leave the cell easier while nutrients can be absorbed more efficiently.

There have been lots of studies on the Aqua Chi. Supposedly they have shown a significant increase in negative ions, an overall balancing effect, and dramatically improved oxygen levels. While the company makes no claims whatsoever regarding curing or improving any disease or condition, you can find lots of testimonials from people that it has worked very well for them. Here are a few examples. A woman with severe arthritis claims she had no more pain and 100% mobility back after five treatments. Another woman says she was chronically ill for over 12 years. After using the Aqua Chi she is 100% pain free and stopped using all of her medications.

There are many practitioners using the Aqua Chi who say it will greatly improve lots of different conditions. Some of the benefits may include significant pain relief, improved memory and sleep, liver detoxification, enhanced immune system, parasite cleansing, acne and skin problems, etc.

One thing about it that I think is nice is the fact you can have one in your own home and use it whenever you like. There are even health professionals that offer a free consultation with the purchase of an Aqua Chi. Just look around and you can find some very reputable professionals, even some doctors that can help you have your own ionic healing foot spa.

Is it safe to take the 14 day Acai Berry Cleanse while taking Metformin?

Is it safe to take the 14 day Acai Berry Cleanse while taking Metformin?

I am not on metformin for diabetes or anything...its more of the opposite (to help with insulin resistance and lower DHEAS in my system which may be causing PCOS). I currently take 1,000 mg 2x/day.

I bought this 14 day Acai Berry Cleanse over the counter at Walmart. It's one of those things that is supposed to help get rid of the extra "sludge" in your digestive system and colon. It is all natural. I've tried the detox foot pads, and they make me feel good, but they don't remove everything from your system. I am hoping to take these cleansing pills to feel better and less sluggish and bloated.

I have heard great things about these things...is it safe to take it with Metformin? (I also take allergy medicine and Lovaza, but it shouldn't cause any problems- its only a high dose fish oil).

Acai berry is a waste of money and doesn't work - if you are taking metamorfin and other medicines you should ask your doctor if any other pills or supplements are safe to take along with them :)
