Hey guys! I'm trying to help my friend out purchase a used bike and he's diving in head first without checking component pricing and value for the bike. I've checked the fork, shock, and general value and figure around $800 maximum but I'd like to get other opinions. The seller is asking $1100 obo.

The bike is beat up, even though the rider claims only a few rides. I can just tell it's been rode quite a bit.
Three tires are listed because three tires come with the bike, but the highroller and minion are on the bike.
I'm just trying to prevent my friend from giving the guy $1100 straight up.
It really all depends on the condition, do you have photos? If it's in good shape, you could get $800 for it maybe even $900. If it's pretty beat up, you're looking at $600-$700 more likely.
Also... why do you have three tires listed?
Edit- If it's "well used", I'd tell your friend not to go over $800-900 at the very most. If it's "beat up", I wouldnt go over $700. With the spec that you've listed, I'm guessing that bike is around 48lbs or so which is pretty heavy and, if it's beat up, there's better deals to be had on similar bikes that are lighter and will perform as good or better. Check the pinkbike.com buy/sell forums and you'll find loads of deals on good rides.
