I have recently purchased a hand held back massager, and I have no words to express how in love with it I am. At first, I didn't think it would help my back pain. I work in a doctor's office so I'm up and about a lot. Other times I am sitting in a chair making what feels like a million phone calls a day! Who knew a small piece of equipment could sooth my pulsing back pain? Sure, my husband has great hands. Don't get me wrong, I love when he massages me, but there is no better massager then a personal one that you can control to any speed you desire.
I had received a rolling wooden massager for Christmas one year from a Secret Santa gift exchange. My Secret Santa ended up being my best friend. I didn't realize this small thing would work so many wonders! As soon as I opened it, I put it to good use. I made her massage my back in circular and firm motions. I needed a bit more of a push with the massage so, when I got home, my husband applied massage lotion to it and it slid into all the crevices to massage all of my sore spots. It was absolutely amazing!
Since I had been complaining of back pain that same year, my husband actually bought me a Christmas present that I have been using for quite a few years now, a heated shiatsu back massager. This amazing piece of equipment has many features, which include:
- Different options on which part of your back to massage.
- Rollers which go up and down your spine. This really feels like you are at a masseuse.
- Vibrations that really rattle things up!
- With the added heating pad on this device, it has made my sore back feel more loose and flexible!
The perfect thing about this heated massager is that I can sit or lay down to use it. And on top of that, my husband appreciates the fact the he is let off the hook and doesn't have to massage my back every night when I come home from work. Of course, he still massages me, but this personal massager has just hit the spot to many of the trigger zones on my back.
Another nice thing about this massager is that it isn't loud at all. There is only a slight humming sound attached to it. I have been using this massager while I'm surfing the web, watching TV, eating dinner, giving myself a pedicure, and doing my hair and make up! There are a lot of people who suffer from back related injures and pains. This is defiantly a massager everyone should have in their house. In my opinion, it is totally worth it in the end.
