In recent years, there has been an explosion in the use and popularity of exercise balls in gymnasiums, fitness centers and health clubs.

One of the benefits is that it is a light-weight and portable piece of equipment that offers so much versatility and range of exercises available. A big plus is that it can be easily taken and used outdoors which can make a training session much more appealing to many people who may otherwise have shunned a training session if it were to have been held indoors.

What's a good leg massager for someone who stands up all day and spider veins?

My boyfriend works in a job where he has to stand up throughout his shift and carry heavy plates, etc. He has noticed some spider veins forming on his feet and lower leg, with a few in his thighs (not as much as feet and lower legs though) but hasn't complained about pain. I'm thinking of getting him a leg massager but am not sure what to get specifically. I've read that massages can help with spider veins and circulation. Seems to me that the leg that look like boots could be the best, but

also for the ankle ( not the long leg) would do good. If it is only the

It depends on how do you use the table. If you want to carry the table around, you may consider a light weight one. I would prefer laying on a table than a chair for massage. A table will let the client feel more relax. I purchase a massage table for my acupuncture clinic 2 years ago for $150.00. I add padding on it make it more soft. My patients has no complain to it. The higher the price, the more soft the table. There are several medical supplies that carry inexpensive tables. If your area has Costco, their massage table is soft and inexpensive.

I got my massage table at costco. It's a Master Massage table and I am pleased with the quality, you can get it at the store or order from the web. Otherwise it's difficult to recommend other brands of tables without actually seeing them or using them. You want to make sure they have enough padding, are light weight but are listed to hold plenty of weight ( the table I got was rated for 1500 lbs but only cost about $200.00).
As far as school goes, the best advice I can give you is work with everyone in your class. Teaming up with one person limits you so much. Learn from everyone and exchange alot.

The calf muscle - also called the sura - is actually a pair of muscles, the gastorcnemius and the soleus, each of which requires slightly different calf exercises to target. The calf muscle is found on the anterior portion of the leg and is connected to the foot via the Achilles tendon. An often-overlooked muscle, the calf is exceedingly important for mobility, as it plays a large part in the motions of walking, jumping, and running. To keep mobility at its best, strong, resilient calf muscles are a must, and the best way to keep them in shape is through calf exercises.

There are several different calf exercises specifically designed to target either the gastorcnemius and soleus muscles, or both. Listed below are some of the most effective and any equipment required to practice these calf exercises.

Calf Raises: The calf raise is the most common of all calf exercises, due in part to the tremendous variety of forms and practices it allows. In all these exercises, however, the basic motion is the same. As the standing calf raise is likely the most common variant, we will use that for the explanation of form. Take a barbell with light weight and rest it atop the back of the shoulders. (A power rack is a very convenient way to keep the weight safely up high where you need to use it without undue stress in lifting.) Step onto a calf block with toes and ball of feet on the block with the arches and heels extended off. Using the calf muscles, raise the heels as high as possible - pressing the weight upward with the motion - then lower the heels as far as your calf will stretch, putting the muscles through their full range of motion. To target different areas of the calf you may use one of the many related calf raises, including the 45-degree calf raise or the donkey calf raise.

Calf Press: This lift is done on a leg press machine. Sit on the machine's seat with back against the support and legs straight and put feet on the lifting platform. Then, using only the calf muscles, push the weight up by extending the ankles as far as possible. Return to a relaxed position. As the legs are kept slightly bent during this lift, the quadriceps will be worked out as well.

Single Leg Calf Raises: While this is a variety of calf raise, it is an important enough exercise to describe in detail. The single leg calf raise is one of the most intense and focused calf exercises out there. By targeting a single leg, it requires that each leg's calf do the work without assistance, so that a weaker muscle cannot depend on a stronger twin. To do a single leg calf raise, simply stand on a step or on a calf block with a dumbbell in either the right or left hand, depending on which leg you intend to work out. (The weight should be on the same side.) Then simply extend the ankle as high as it will go, lower it as far down as possible, then press upward again.

What could be the cause of my pain that starts in my calf and works its way up my leg?

I run cross country and have been experiencing pain in my right calf. the pain works its way up my leg to my butt. at this point im in so much pain i need to stop. i have tried stretching when it gets this pain full but i cannot because it hurts even more.
i also stretch really well before i run and after i run.

If you have not seen a doctor, you should def. at least call him/her. The pain is probably not just a cramp. because of the amount of pain. You also may have gotten bit by something like a spider without notifcing it. That can cause that kind of pain.

This depends more on whether your doona is a feather duvet with a wool covering or a wool blanket.

If it's a wool blanket, wash in cold water in the bathtub with a gentle odor-free detergent. If you are worried about the urine odor lingering, I'd suggest a detergent containing an enzyme dissolvant. The spin cycle should work to remove most of the water but make sure your washing machine is set to delicate/cold - some spin cycles add water halfway through for some bizarre reason. When drying, consider that it may be so heavy that putting it on the washing line will pull the line down to the ground. If so, you can hang it over a door, but only if the floor underneath the door is water-safe and the door (including the top, where nobody ever washes) is perfectly clean. You can't put it in the dryer.

If this is a feather or down duvet with a wool cover, wash the cover separately from the down duvet. Most down duvets (and those filled with polyester) can be washed in a washing machine and dried in a dryer. Wool should be washed in cold by hand and dried either flat or on a line.

In both instances, if you're dealing with something with bright or dark dyes, test the detergent in an inconspicuous place to make sure the dyes don't run. I'm not sure what Biozet is, but looking it up online it seems fine for wool, as long as you wash by hand.

However, check around if you'd prefer to have it dry-cleaned. Not all dry-cleaners have rules about the size of quilt or duvet they can handle. (To be honest if it's wool this may be your best choice: washing a wool blanket easily without having it shrink is a pain.)

For starters, I toyed with the idea of making do with my heavy and protective North Face jackets; later it occurred to me that it gives an odd-man-out look in the southern winter. So it was almost a gate pass for one of my not-so-bright frugal ideas. Before deciding on ski clothing like ski pants and jackets I set out on some online research.

What sets aside Ibex men's clothing and women's clothing according to me is the dense knit soft wool which looks as fresh as ever. Ibex wool contains high proportions of lanolin fat in comparison, and it is thoughtfully preserved which, the brochure said, is a moisture and stain repellant. For once, it occurred to me why they looked fresh as new all time.

Thanks to the light weight, you can have thinnest but still warm and breathable baselayers and long underwears made in ibex wool.

What should I advise you now? It's pretty light and double stretchable and so can be used as both inner as well as outer wear. But ask for hand warmer pockets, thicker zippers (still capable of making a sword and holster zinging sound) and adjustable side tabs to keep out cold. The elastic waist in the long underwear appeared promising.

Finally, whatever the washing instructions on the label might say, if you want to preserve the original Ibex freshness, always use cold water to wash.

Keep in mind that no American car manufacturer has ever recommended 10W-40 or 20W-50 in anything. Random people try to "out think" the engineers who designed modern gas and diesel engines. "More's Law" doesen't apply to motor oil.
