Why should you know your antiviral essential oil facts? Using aromatherapy remedies is an excellent way to protect your health naturally.

While there is definitely a time and place for prescription medication, many over the counter and prescription drugs have negative side effects.

Using natural remedies such as aromatherapy can be a good way of preventing some illnesses in the first place. And if you do get sick, they can often help relieve your symptoms and clear up the virus sooner.

Do Antiviral Essential Oils Work?

Published studies show positive results for antiviral activity. Here are two examples:

Respiratory Tract Infections

"Cinnamon and thyme showed the strongest action followed by clove... thyme can be considered as a potential antimicrobial agent for the treatment of some respiratory tract infections in man."

Drug Resistant Infections

"... rosemary oil may be useful in counteracting gram-positive bacterial, fungal, and drug-resistant infections."

Doubts about Aromatherapy

While many medical professionals acknowledge that some essential oils improve mood and relaxation, many argue that there is not enough scientific proof of aromatherapy's effectiveness.

Here's why: Very few controlled, double-blind studies have been conducted because the results can't be patented. There's no profit in it!

Regardless of the lack of scientific studies, there's a whole world of anecdotal evidence supporting the benefits of aromatherapy remedies. Not to mention a history that goes back to ancient times.

Aromatherapy in Mainstream Medicine

In France, healing with aromatherapy is part of mainstream medicine. French doctors use an "Aromatogram" to help them decide which essential oils to use.

First a doctor takes a sample of infected tissue or secretion from the patient. She cultures the sample and divides it into petri dishes. Then she puts a different essential oil into each petri dish to see which oils slow the growth of the virus the most. She prescribes the aromatherapy oils that show the strongest activity against the virus.

What are the Strongest Antiviral Essential Oils?

The effectiveness of an essential oil depends on how its molecular structure interacts with the structure of a particular virus. This means that some essential oils are more effective for certain viruses than others.

That said, ALL aromatherapy oils are most effective when you use them proactively to prevent infection. They increase the body's immunity to infection, and they also slow the replication of viral cells.

Best Antiviral Essential Oils for the Flu

Coriander, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Hyssop, Lavender, Marjoram, Naiouli, Oregano, Palmarosa, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Ravensara, Rose Otto, Rosemary, Sage, Spearmint, Tea Tree and Thyme

Best Antiviral Essential Oils for Cold Sores (Herpes Virus)

Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Hyssop, Lemongrass, Melissa, Peppermint and Tea Tree

How to Use Antiviral Aromatherapy Oils

Disinfecting Surfaces: Put a drop of tea tree and a drop of lavender oil on a damp cloth and use it to wipe down surfaces. Use it to disinfect all the hard surfaces germy hands have touched.

Clearing the Air: Add 5 drops orange, 3 drops cinnamon and 3 drops clove oil to your aromatherapy diffuser or vaporizer for a warming antiviral essential oil blend. Or use 5 drops peppermint, 5 drops bergamot and 3 drops eucalyptus for a fresh, invigorating disinfectant blend.

Steam Inhalation: (Excellent for respiratory tract infections.) Boil a quart (liter) or two of water in a pot. Put the pot on a table (remember to protect the table!) and add 1 drop tea tree, 1 drop thyme and 1 drop eucalyptus oil. Use a towel to make a tent over your head and the pot. Stay in the 'tent' for 10 to 20 minutes, taking short breaks as needed.

Preventing Infections: Use this massage oil blend morning and night to boost your immune system and weaken attacking viruses. Add 10 drops lavender, 7 drops tea tree, 1 drop geranium, 1 drop palmarosa and 1 drop lemongrass to 4 tablespoons (60ml) carrier oil. Massage into your feet, especially the area above and below the base of your toes (corresponds to the lymph/respiratory meridians.)

Essential Oil Safety

Antiviral essential oils are powerful substances. Please use them properly in dilution, and never internally unless under the direction of a qualified medical aromatherapist.

What quantity of rose petals does it take to make 50ml of essential rose oil?

Hello! A book I have states that: 30 roses (from the rose otto bush, which is the finest)produce 1 drop of oil. Please, don't ask me to do the math! Another book states: it takes 1,000 pounds of petals to produce 1 pound of oil.

Does it work or at least help?

It helped with the itching and dryness, but I still got them.

Account limit of 2124 requests per hour exceeded.

All of the senses are important , but in this article we're focusing on the sense of smell as a pathway to sensuality and the use of aromatherapy to help our love life. Through research companies have determined and created products that tend to create responses and feelings through the use of scents with aromatherapy. Again, we're all human and just because a bottle is labeled "sensual" scent it doesn't mean that you will personally be drawn to that aroma.

The most exciting way to learn more about sensuality and aromatherapy is to experiment. Smell and feel the products for yourself. It's not weird. It's expected . You are encouraged to try the "Testers" before making a purchase. Most major department stores have salespeople who are anxious to have you spray on perfumes or colognes. They want your business and will help you experience the scents.

Hint: You can do this alone if you're really uncomfortable, but, better yet, do it with your partner . This will become a fun shared experience and you'll learn more about what you both like and dislike. My husband watches my reactions to products throughout the year . When it's time to buy gifts or do something special, he knows what scents turn me on. How much better is your relationship when you buy the products that please each other and don't have to be returned?

A store with a good selection will probably have several scents in the same category so that you can find the one you prefer. Let's say that my spouse was acting tired, dragged out, and feeling depressed and depleted. My goal would be to help him out of that state without pills and more naturally with aromatherapy. I might an "Energy" bath gel and "Energy" massage oil for later.

Different companies manufacture different products so I'll use a few examples so you can understand . Let's say a company has two Energy scents this season. One is with orange and the other uses Lime. If my partner hates orange, we try lime.

To make myself feel sexier I tend to look for products labeled "Sensual" scents. For the whole day I rub lots of lotion with the sensual scent and for private times I enjoy the Sensual products with essential oils and Sensual Massage lotions. If you tend to need a boost at some point in your day, a quick body spray will perk you up on your legs, wrists, and arms. I keep a bottle of scents with Vanilla around me for a boost.

The sense of smell ties in more than any other sense to our memory. When we remember smells we can impact our emotions whether positive or negative. One of the smells that tend to bring back memories related to childhood are those of baking cookies. If you like cookies, the smell of a fresh batch baking in the oven can bring on feelings of happiness, love, warmth, security, family, and something that tastes good that you want.

Researchers spend millions of dollars trying to determine how to influence our senses. Manufacturers and retailers want us to connect the scents they create with desire. The more we love what we smell and want it, the better off they expect to be with sales.

Scent and sensuality are tied together. Certain scents make us feel more sensual, some scents will make us more relaxed or invigorated. You can also add to your aromatherapy experiences by buying teas such as Camomile for relaxation.

When my husband was feeling anxious I gave him a back rub with my Bath and BodyWorks "Sleep" body lotion with Vanilla Camomile scent. For stress and sore muscles I had him take a bath with bath salts with Eucalyptus and Spearmint.

I recently read two books about smell and how they effect us. One was written by a medical doctor, called "Life's a Smelling Success" by Alan Hirsch, MD. He explained that there is a connection between odors memory and that our brain makes the connection for us.

I learned that lavender and pumpkin pie are top performing odors in male sexual arousal. Anyone for pumpkin pie? Baked goods, according to Dr. Hirsch, stimulate nostalgia. Certain fragrances lift moods. If you can work with your senses you can enhance your sexual experiences and feel good more often.

To find products which are natural visit your favorite health food store, natural, or organic retailer.

As you will soon discover there are number of different massage therapy techniques a person can avail of. Some will help a person to relax whilst others can help to improve a person's health or repair injured muscles etc., in the body. Below we will take a look at some of the different types of massage therapy now available and how they can help a person.

Ayurvedic Massage

Also known as Abhyanga Massage originates in India and has been used by this culture for more than 5,000 years. Generally this form of therapy will be carried out by 2 therapists who through the use of a blend of heated herbal oils will be aiming to establish a balance between a person's mind, body and their spirit once more.

Traditional Persian Massage

Also referred to as Cachunga (pronounced Ka Khn Ga) it was introduced to the Persians by Darius III. This particular type of massage works and focuses on the breasts of women. This is a deep tissue massage therapy and is performed to help improve circulation of the body.

Chinese Tui Na Massage

This particular form of massage therapy from China will push, stretch and knead the muscles in the body. It has been seen to be effective in helping to treat such disorders to a person's digestive, respiratory or reproductive system. Plus helps to treat many kinds of musculoskeletal problems as well.

Deep Tissue Massage

This type of massage therapy will be used to work on specific joints, muscles or muscle groups in the body. Often the therapist will start with the higher levels of softer muscle tissue before working there way down into the depth of the muscle that is causing the problem. This in turns much more freedom of movement after the therapy session has taken place. It is important however that the therapist does not rush the treatment by applying pressure too quickly or deeply as this in turn can cause the muscle to tighten in order to protect the area it covers. This in turn can cause damage or inflammation to the area that is being treated. Little if any massage oil is used during this therapy as the pressure being applied should not travel too far over the person's skin.

Shiatsu

This form of massage therapy originates from Japan and uses the thumbs to apply pressure to a person's body. Often a person remains fully clothed whilst they are laying flat on a mat on the floor.

Stone Massage

Usually with this form of massage therapy the therapist will place hot or cold stones on to particular parts of the body. Often it is hot stones that will be placed on the body and these help the muscles to relax more easily. Which in turn allows the therapist to actually work deeper in to the person's muscles but will not feel as uncomfortable as if you were having a deep tissue massage carried out.

Above we have looked at a few of the different types of massage methods a person can now use to help treat them. But there are plenty of others available also and these you can easily learn about on the internet today.

Allison Thompson a work from home mum, now living in Spain who has been looking at ways of living a much healthier kind of lifestyle. After years of suffering from problems relating to her back and neck through work as a secretary in the UK she has found that massage therapy helps. If you would like to learn more about the benefits of using massage therapy for yourself then please visit http://www.massagetherapyhandbook.com

What are the benifits of using a water foot massager?

Besides feeling really nice and being relaxed.

Thanks

There is something called "reflexology" that deals with ertain spots on the soles of your feet being connected to every part of your body...water foot massagers can utilize the reflexology by focusing on a specific region of your foot...other than that, massagers are beneficial because they soothe tired and achy feet, moisturize dry/cracked skin, and can soften your feet making them feel better and look better, especially if you add in oils, bath beads, aromatherapy, etc.

Here is a link with info on reflexology...it may be of some assistance...

Yes you can and it does feel good. I heat it in hot water, either in a bowl or the sink. I've never tried heating it in the microwave though. But if you try that, I don't know if you would need to loosen the top or not. I am to chicken to put something in the microwave unless I know it won't blow up lol.

How do I get Massage oil stain out of the back seat of my car?

I had a half gallon jug of Almond oil in the trunk of my car. I guess from rolling around in the trunk, the lid loosened up and came off. The whole 1/2 gallon of oil soaked the trunk of my car. About a month later, I noticed it seaping through to the back seat. Now after a year of trying to soak it up, shampooing it with my own shampooer, and getting it professionally shampooed, I cannot get the oil out of my seat or trunk! Now its starting to smell like old, stale oil. I have been Febreezing it, but i really want to get the oil out WITHOUT replacing the back seat and truck. Any suggestions?

How do I get one in the back seat of my car?
hehe.
Just kidding.
Nothing breaks up oil quite like Dawn dishsoap.

Having constant oily skin brings many other problems with your over all appearance than just the desired maintenance and blemish free skin. What is found to cause excessively oily skin is the oil producing sebaceous glands being overactive and producing more oil than the facial skin tissue wants or is properly able to handle naturally. When oily skin happens, the skin excels a greasy shine and pores are enlarged. No matter what age or gender a person is, oily blemished skin can be a constant nuisance consuming your personal self confidence and cause painful discomfort.

The many causes for oily skin are factors of heredity, diet, hormone levels, pregnancy birth pills, cosmetics, humidity and hot weather are all contributing factors. All though the sebum or oil naturally and temporarily increases during the time of teenage adolescence, but should decrease as we become older and move into adulthood. But there are other hormonal changes that happen during pregnancies, menopause and even excess stress for long periods of time in your life.

There are several methods to fight your oily skin problems and healthiest way of using herbal methods and remedies will save you money and you skin. It is very important to wash your face at least twice a day with gentle organic soaps and warm water. Always keeping your skin absolutely clean will help keep pores more oil free and this will contribute to lessoning blemishes. Apply Aloe-Vera on your skin once of more daily. These plants contain a wonderful oil absorbing product. For a very effective facial scrub, mix ground almonds into a paste mixed with honey and apply all over for removing oils and dead skin cells. After application, gently massage the paste into your skin with a hot wash cloth, and then rinse with cold water. Another organic facial cleanser is oatmeal mixed with Aloe-Vera. Rub this mixture over your skin. Leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Your diet is a contributing factor for the healthiest skin and your inner body. Always eating foods high in antioxidants, vitamins, whole grains and fatty acids are vital for an overall balanced body and skin. There are also foods that really need to be avoided if your skin is oily, because these foods cause more oil to be produced. Avoid any kind of refined sugars, chocolate, all junk foods, all fast foods, foods fried in cooking oils and all soft drinks are all very bad for your inner body an skin.

Curly Hair and Combination Skin in Desert Climates?

I have super curly, thick hair and combination skin. I usually live in a wet and cold climate but I'm traveling to the Middle East in the spring. Do you have any suggestions for how to deal with combination skin and curly in dry and hot climates? Preferably natural or organic recipes or products.

My hair is also thick and super curly but I have very oily skin. My hair I used my same regime for hair care but I rubbed olive oil and coconut oil in my hair at night before I went to bed and just rinsed my hair off in the morning. It kept my hair from drying out throughout the day in the hot sun.
Its hot, very hot.
My skin is oily so there wasn't much I did with my skin except put on sunscreen.

Check out http://www.giovannicosmetics.com/ for amazing all natural/organic products. This is what I recently started using.

I hope you have a nice trip.

The scalp basically refers to the skin and hair on the top of the head. Learning how to give a scalp massage may be one of the best things you could ever do for the top of your head! Sounds like a strange thing to say, but actually it's true. A great number of people have problems with their scalp and learning to be a great scalp massager is a positive step toward alleviating those problems.

Of course an additional benefit is that scalp massage can be intensely soothing and pleasurable. In this article we'll discuss some scalp massage techniques as well as some other scalp massage tips for getting the most out it.

Common Scalp Problems

o Various skin problems resulting in itchy, dry, flaky, and possibly inflamed skin.

o Various hair problems resulting in dry, thinning, or falling out hair.

Naturally for any serious issue, particularly skin issues, you need to consult a health care professional, but here we will discuss scalp massage techniques that can be done for the maintenance of scalp health, and techniques that may relieve or assist in the treatment of various scalp problems.

For the best results you should have your scalp massaged regularly, even daily, which is why everyone should learn how to give a great effective self administered scalp massage. It not only feels great, it enhances scalp health by improving circulation to the scalp area. This will eventually lead to shinier, healthier hair. You can also incorporate scalp massage oil which can benefit both your hair and skin.

Scalp Massage Techniques so YOU Can Become a Great Scalp Massager

o First decide if you want to use a scalp massage oil. Choose an oil such as sweet almond oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil as a base. Then, select an appropriate essential oil for its therapeutic benefit. For example, lavender and tea tree oil for dandruff, peppermint and rosemary oil for hair loss, and rose and chamomile oil for excessive dryness. For each tablespoon of base oil, add two drops of essential oil.

o Next is to brush your hair. This is to de-tangle the hair and remove loose flakes of the skin. If comfortable, bend from the waist and brush your hair upside-down to increase circulation to the scalp.

o Now you're ready to begin. It's beneficial to massage the scalp while upside-down to increase blood flow to the scalp. This can be done by bending at the waist if comfortable, or lying face up on the bed with your head over the edge and pointing to the floor.

o Dip your finger tips into the oil and begin at the hairline, massaging with small circular motions, slowly working your way back over the entire scalp. Add more oil to your finger tips when necessary.

o You can do this for as long as you are comfortable to continue. Be sure to apply enough pressure so you feel the skin moving over the skull, and not just glide your fingertips over your skin.

o When finished, warm a dry towel in the microwave and place it on your head. Let the oil set and absorb into the scalp for ten minutes or more.

o Finally, shampoo and condition. Get in the habit of giving a good scalp massage while shampooing and conditioning as well.

o If your scalp is extremely dry, you can leave the oil in overnight and wash out the next morning.

Make a habit of applying these scalp massage techniques once per week. You will notice you hair grow healthier over time and your scalp will 'feel' rejuvenated. Vary the essential oils you use to see which gives you the best results and experience. Be cautious of possible allergic reactions to some essential oils, and check with a professional massage therapist or aromatherapist to see if a particular oil is appropriate if you are pregnant or nursing.

To supplement your weekly 'full' scalp massage incorporating the use of scalp massage oil, get in a daily habit of massaging your scalp while in the shower, watching TV, or even walking around. You will become a skilled scalp massager and reap the benefits of a rejuvenated and healthy scalp.

Want to know the secret to having great sex?

Well, I bet you do!

What most guys don't know is a great sex session starts way before you even step into the bedroom. Actually sexual tension should start the moment you see a woman.

Now the best way to accomplish this is done through the act of foreplay.

To sexual master, you have to be great at foreplay. Once you learn the proper techniques for foreplay, you'll have women practically begging for sex.

In the next few paragraphs, I'm going to reveal my personally 5 step system for engaging women in sexual foreplay.

Hope you're prepared...

Step #1- Turn her on out in public

Like I said at the start of this article, foreplay starts the moment you see a woman. Even it's HOURS before want to have sex you should start working to turn her on.

Here's how to do it...

When you're with her in public, try doing little things which will turn her on and put her in the mindset for the sex that'll happen later.

You want her to make her feel attractive and know how beautiful you find her. Try demonstrating these feelings by kissing her or touching her in a provocative manner.

If you're with her at a club or bar, dance with her in suggestive manner and touch her in a seductive manner.

Just remember that foreplay starts long before sex, so do your best to turn her on when you're out in public.

Step #2- Set the right mood

Once you move things back to your home or apartment, you should work towards creating the right kind of atmosphere. What you want to do is create an ambiance which is conducive to seduction.

This means lighting some candles, turning down the lights and playing soothing music. By doing this, you're creating an encounter which will mentally and physically prepare her for sex.

Step #3- Massage in a sensual manner

The best way to start the process of foreplay is to give her a sensual massage. In fact, I would consider this technique to be the best way to prepare a woman for sex.

For best results, try using special massage oils which carry pleasant fragrances and warms the skin. Apply it to her skin and get started!

Initiate the massage her by rubbing her shoulders and neck. Then when you've warmed her up, move to her more intimate areas like her lower back, chest, lower upper thighs.

Massages are a great technique for putting women in the mindset for having sex. As a result, it's important to how the right way to give them. If you're unsure of how to give a proper massage try reading up on this technique and practice till you can become perfect at giving them.

Step #4- Kiss her the right way

As the massage culminates, start kissing her in a seductive manner.

Try kissing her slowly at first then observer her reaction. Once she becomes more passionate, start building up the intensity of your kissing.

One great trick for kissing is to explore the other areas of her body like neck, upper chest and ears. Women are really sensitive creatures, so you can do a lot to turn her on simply by knowing how to kiss.

Step #5- Become more intimate

Eventually your foreplay and kissing will develop into sex.

In order to properly make this transition you should take your time and not try to rush things.

Try slowly undressing one other and exploring her body. One advanced technique is to start with oral sex to get things really going.

What you want to focus on in this last step is to delay the act of sex by teasing her. You want her to practically beg for sex! Then once you start she'll go crazy with passion.

Foreplay is the key ingredient to a great sex session. If you can master this 5 step system, you'll become a master in the bedroom!

Part 2 of the size question: Whats the best Lube to use for sex?

My wife complains it hurts during sex. She has been checked out by the gyno and no problems found. Everything normal. She gets pretty wet during forplay but maybe some lube will help? What should we try first? Do you use any lube during intercourse?
I'm not circumcised
She claimes i'm bigger then any guy she has been with. Im the only person she has had pain with? putting a big damper on our sex life...

How big are you? She needs to still go to the doctor still, because this is abnormal, or get a second opinion KY Jelly is great, with many different kinds.

its never once replaced him with sex, but 8/10 times, its a common foreplay item.
ive tried to explain this to him, that it doesnt serve the same function as him so theres no need to feel threated by it.
I know this is fairly common insecurity with lots of men as you read about it all the time in magazines ect, but i dont know how i can help him be ok with it.

i might add, that im one of the fairly high percentage of women that pretty much need, NEED, clitoral stimulation to climax, and it doesnt come better than the Wand.
98% of the time, even if i dont climax, its still amazing sex.

any ideas?
serious answers only please, else i will eat your eyes..

Maybe you can emphasize that the fact that the Wand makes sex very easy and pleasant for you is a factor in your libido. In other words, it makes him get more sex.

I also think it's important to show him that you still want him, and not just the Wand.
Use it before intercourse, have an earth-shattering orgasm, then throw the Wand across the room, roar and jump your boyfriend's bones

Looking for a sexy gift you can both enjoy? Something a little naughty, but real nice. Then I have some awesome ideas for you! Now these are not your everyday hum-drum gifts. These gifts will allow you and your partner to share some quality intimate times together.

To start, lingerie is always a sexy gift to give your partner. Just be sure it's a color she loves and a size that will fit her well. But, we can go well beyond lingerie for the exotic gift you both can enjoy. For instance, how about a romantic board game. There are several to choose from, but the one that stands out is the "Hearts are Wild Board Game". It's an erotic adventure for two! You and your partner will take turns rolling the dice. In the spirit of fun you perform different activities and answer intimate questions. You must collect as many Hearts are Wild game coupons as possible. This game comes with everything you need to start playing right away. You get the game board, 4 decks of cards, feather tickler, pina colada warming massage oil, cinnamon massage oil, blind fold, 2 pawns and 2 dice. It's an intimate evening in a box - so to speak.

Or, how about a massage kit. The "Sensuous Lover Massage Kit" can be enjoyed by both sexes. Who wouldn't appreciate a sensual massage done by their partner. This kit has everything you will need. A book that instructs you on how to give a massage, lightly scented massage oil, and a vibrator to help sooth away the aches and stresses of every day life. You'll have great fun learning the techniques together, then trying them out on each other. And, I'm sure great fun is not the only thing that will result from giving each other a sensual massage.

Another fun gift you both can enjoy is a vibrator. Today there are thousands on the market to choose from. But, if you're looking for one that would benefit both of you, then the "Hitachi Magic Wand" wins hands down. It was originally designed as a back and body massager, and it works great for that purpose. However, over the past twenty years or so it has become one of the most popular sex toys purchased by couples. This plug in the wall vibrator has actually been around for more then thirty years and has exceptionally strong vibrations. We love it because it easily stimulates myself and my husband and it's a fun sex toy for both sexes.

There are also a wide range of instructional and informative DVDs to choose from. These DVDs allow you and your partner to learn and explore new ideas for your love life. One such DVD is "The Erotic Guide To Sexual Fantasies For Lovers". It has erotic scenes throughout the video, and you'll see beautiful couples dramatize some of the most popular fantasy themes as sexuality experts answer all your questions. This is a fun and erotic way to learn how to make all of your fantasies become a reality together.

These are just a few of the fun, sexy gifts you can share with your partner. No matter what the occasion give each other the gift of intimacy. It's the gift that will live on forever.

Have Fun!

A hot stone massage therapy has become a popular and one of the most requested massages in spas and practices all around the world. It is a massage therapy that uses different kinds of cold or hot stones. It relieves muscle spasms and sometimes is even used for alternative therapy in alleviating pain in illnesses or injuries. It is used with a combination of a Swedish massage with deep heat and pressure provided by warm basalt stones.

If you are a masseuse and planning to incorporate the stone therapy into your practice, it is important you learn the basic equipment used for this massage. Here is a short list of the fundamental tools you need:

1. Massage table

These are specialized tables used to position clients during a massage. Typically, a massage table is easy to clean, heavily padded and has a horse-shoe shaped head support allowing the patient to breathe normally while lying face down.

2. Linens for the table

These are used for dressing the massage table. If you want to add a special touch for the client, you can use a sheepskin to warm the pad underneath the flannel linens.

3. Electrical heating unit

Many masseuses utilize roasting pans for the purpose of heating the stones. These pans can be purchased in any retail store and is available online. An insulated container is also a good alternative especially if the therapist frequently travels to their clients.

4. Massage oils

The three most commonly used massage oil are grape seed, olive and rose oils. Most therapists use their oil of choice during massage session. Oils are used as a lubricating source for a hot stone massage. The element of aromatherapy will definitely enhance a massage session. Lavender oil is also a good choice because it promotes relaxation.

5. Basalt stones

Massage stones comes in a variety of shapes, sizes and packages. Basalt stones are generally used for a hot stone therapy. It can absorb and retain heat very well.

The number of hot stones used in a stone massage can vary. In a full massage, there are approximately 48-56 stones you need to use. You can also use fewer stones but you will need to constantly reheat them.

It is also important to keep the stones clean after using them. There are various storage bags available for this purpose. Usually it is included in your purchase if you buy a stone package.

6. Optional equipment

These will include the utensils used for removing the stone s in the heating equipment and different varieties of essential oils.

Most people will be blown away from the level of relaxation a hot stone massage can offer. Not only is it a pleasurable experience for the mind and body but it also alleviates physical pains and aches. Having the right equipment and techniques will certainly allow the client to experience a relaxing massage but will also reduce the strain placed on the therapist while doing the massage.
